Applications

The markets a WatchGuard dealer can serve with one supplier behind them.

Commercial & Industrial Roofing

Low-slope commercial roofs fail at the details — seams, penetrations, curbs, and terminations — long before the field of the membrane gives out. Every one of those details is a joint somebody assembled by hand.

A sprayed polyurea membrane has none of them. OR-80SLM goes down as one continuous sheet that wraps every curb and pipe boot without a single lap. Over an existing TPO or EPDM roof, 7001 Primer makes a restoration possible without a tear-off, which is usually the difference between a project that gets funded and one that gets deferred another year.

Spec: OR-80SLM at 40–60 mil DFT over 7001-primed membrane or prepped metal; add 1–1.5" closed-cell roofing foam where slope correction or R-value is required.

Warehouse, Garage & Commercial Floors

Floor work is the fastest-moving part of the line for most dealers, because the customer base is enormous and the turnaround is short. A residential garage is a one-day job. A warehouse aisle can be coated over a weekend and take forklift traffic Monday morning.

Where a floor has spalled joints, popouts, or cracking, Concrete Mender rebuilds the substrate structurally first — so the coating is going over sound concrete instead of bridging a problem that will telegraph through in six months.

Spec: diamond-grind or shot-blast to CSP 3–5, Concrete Mender on defects, OR-621 basecoat, OR-55 topcoat. Flake or quartz broadcast between coats where a decorative finish is wanted.

Spray Foam Insulation & Roofing Foam

Foam and coating belong in the same truck. A crew that insulates a metal building already has the rig, the hose, and the PPE to spray the roof membrane over it — and the customer would rather buy both from one contractor than coordinate two.

Closed-cell foam brings R-value, air sealing, and structural stiffening in a single application. On agricultural and industrial roofs it also solves condensation, which is the actual failure mechanism in most livestock, potato storage, and cold-storage buildings.

Spec: closed-cell at 2–3" for wall and roofline insulation; roofing-grade foam at 1–1.5" under an OR-80SLM or elastomeric topcoat on low-slope decks.

Corrosion Protection & Equipment

Steel that lives outdoors, gets washed down, or handles abrasive material is a recurring revenue line rather than a one-time sale. Conveyor frames, hoppers, tanks, trailers, spreader beds, and structural steel all come back around.

The advantage polyurea has over industrial paint here is that it flexes with the steel — 300 to 400% elongation with tear strength in the 400–500 pli range — so it does not crack at welds and edges the way a hard, thin film does.

Spec: SSPC-SP6 blast with 2–4 mil profile for new or heavily corroded steel, SP3 power-tool for maintenance overcoat of tight rust; OR93BL at 40 mil on structure, Flak Jacket Pro at 80–120 mil on wear surfaces.

Agricultural Buildings & Equipment

Ag is the market most coating dealers underestimate. Barn roofs, potato and onion storage, poultry houses, milking parlors, cold storage, livestock trailers, and harvest equipment all need coating or foam, and the buyers make decisions fast because downtime costs them a season.

The environment is brutal — ammonia, manure acids, fertilizer, silage, constant wash-down — and it eats conventional coatings. A seamless polyurea membrane can be pressure-washed aggressively without film failure and does not harbor bacteria in seams.

Spec: OR-80SLM at 40–60 mil on barn and storage roofs; closed-cell foam at 2–3" for condensation control in livestock and storage buildings; FJ1 at 60–80 mil on equipment contact surfaces.
